Michael YIP

Future of Education & Work Delegate
Michael Yip is a researcher at Oxford University, focusing on China’s development financing. He is also a former UK civil servant, with experience of international trade, infrastructure and banking. Previously he worked at the World Bank Legal Department and served as a youth delegate to the G7 Summit in Berlin.
Digital Literacy & Inclusion Delegate
Neve Coward has just graduated with a BA in French, Russian and Spanish from the University of Sheffield, having acquired considerable international experience living and working in Paris, St. Petersburg and Andalusia. Alongside her studies, she spent her time mentoring pupils with the DfE to increase language learning in the UK, learning to code, playing netball and hiking in the Peak District. She also co-founded a not-for-profit for refugees and asylum seekers, which has grown into a thriving local organisation, combating the isolation of displaced persons in her university city.
NEVE COWARD
Green Economy Delegate
Tom Rhys Jones is a lawyer specialising in the development and financing of international energy and infrastructure projects. In addition to advising project developers, government agencies and commercial banks on renewables projects in Southeast Asia and around the world, his experience includes supporting the Commonwealth Secretariat in establishing the Common Earth network, a charity devoted to climate resilience and regeneration, and negotiating with the Zambian government to secure operating rights for microgrids to serve rural communities. Tom studied his undergraduate degree at King’s College London and the National University of Singapore, before studying International Relations at the University of Cambridge. He now spends much of his time between London and Singapore.
