Digital Transformation Track
Eleri has been an advocate for youth empowerment and engagement since she was a teenager. Motivated by the belief that young people should be empowered to contribute to the decisions that impact their lives, she stood and was elected to the Youth Parliament at 15 and was selected as a UK delegate to the World Democracy Forum at 16. She is excited to be representing young people once again.
Eleri graduated with first class honours from UCL in 2021, having studied Social Sciences with Data Science, with a year abroad at McGill University in Montreal. This academic training has provided her with strong research skills, which she uses to understand complex issues and weigh up conflicting evidence so she can make credible policy recommendations. At UCL and in Canada, Eleri developed her public speaking and debating skills by participating in Model UN and won awards at conferences hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, UC Berkley, and Harvard.
Since graduating, she has sought opportunities to improve her skills and knowledge in advocacy, policy research and campaigning, most recently developing and delivering a strategy for a metro mayor campaign, which focused on improving social media reach and message targeting. Eleri is currently a Constituency Assistant for a Sheffield Member of Parliament and works to ensure that local concerns are raised in Westminster.
Over the next year, Eleri is looking forward to working with young people and policy makers to develop digital transformation policies that will positively impact people’s lives.
