Y7 2021 EVALUATION REPORT
Published 31 January 2022, United Kingdom
In 2021, in line with the U.K’s G7 Presidency, the Future Leaders Network was appointed to chair the Youth 7 (Y7), the official G7 youth engagement group.
Over 50 young leaders from across the G7 came together over several months to develop policy recommendations on behalf of young people. These recommendations were delivered to Ministers and senior decision makers at the highest levels of the G7 Presidency and internationally.
In our Evaluation Report, find out how we delivered one of the most inclusive, developmental and impactful Y7 Summits in history:
Inclusion: 10,000 young people’s voices were represented in the Y7 Communique
Development: Y7 delegates reported a 20% increase in their confidence in their leadership skills over just 6 months
Impact: the Y7 got mental health in the G7 leaders’ communique
Outreach: ~40,000 young people participated in Y7 outreach activities
Many thanks to all of the phenomenal youth people who worked so hard to make the Y7 2021 possible, and to all of our partners, sponsors and stakeholders for your support in delivering a step-change in youth participation in international decision making.
